The Ford F-Series was redesigned for 1953 with a more integrated look. The pickups also acquired their now familiar names: The F-1 now became the F-100, the F-2 and F-3 now became the F-250, and the F-4 now became the 1-ton F-350. Optional interior amenities were new, including a dome light, lighter, arm rests, sun visors and a radio. On March 13, 1953, the Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission became an option.

The 1950 Mercury is a classic American Hot Rodding car and was often customized. Daniel is currently rebuilding this Mercury Sled. A lead sled tends to have all extra side moldings shaved off and filled with the suspension lowered. Lead sleds are built for style, not speed.

The Holden FC series is a range of motor vehicles which was produced by General Motors–Holden's in Australia from 1958 to 1960. Introduced on 6 May 1958, the FC is a facelifted and improved version of the Holden FE series, which it replaced.

The EH was released in August 1963 replacing the Holden EJ series and was the first Holden to incorporate the new "Red" motor, with 7 main bearings instead of 4 for the "Grey" motor, and a larger capacity of 149ci (2400cc) or 179ci (2900cc).
